It’s incredibly difficult to explain that faith is an “attitude toward” and not one we ourselves create. It’s even harder to get someone to understand that belief is a commitment to act. Together, salvation is the experience of acting toward the good; God being goodness and the perception of it, grace.
The most difficult thing in talking about all of these things is changing the protestant mind to the reality that this is the old theology and theirs, the new, the literally heretical.
Even still, God can free anyone from their own Egypt in a grand exodus; “even as through the fire.”
